As part of the launch of open eir's new brand identity, open eir wanted a video to celebrate the impressive roll out of fibre to the home 1 Gb/s broadband. They came to Agtel with this challenge of engaging their target audiences emotionally about a topic that is by its very nature technical. This film’s first showing was a corporate event video but it was important that the finished video didn’t have a “corporate” feel, and would continue to impress stakeholders online for the long term. They also wanted to give the open eir team behind the fibre to the home roll-out a voice, giving them the chance to share the scale and achievement of the roll out to a wider audience themselves. Agtel’s creative approach was to produce a high-end documentary style film, using interviews, archive footage and dramatised scenes to tell a story with people at its heart.
