There was a great buzz at the inaugural event of the Ireland Belgium Business Association (IBBA) I was at in Brussels this week. Irish ambassador to Belgium Eamonn Mac Aodha and Enterprise Ireland’s James Mackrill gave an interesting – and fast-paced – overview of the strengths of Irish business as well as the opportunities available in Belgium.

It was great to catch up with other Irish business people who are active across Europe, and the Belgian business people in attendance were very positive about strengthening the links between the two countries in a “win-win” partnership. The next IBBA event is a dinner hosted by an Irish government minister at the end of January and I’m sure it’ll be another great forum for networking and discussion. Many Agtel clients who commission awareness raising videos, multilingual video productions and event videos are based in Brussels and I find it really useful to share experiences with other business people at events like this. Drop me an e-mail if you’re doing / planning business in Brussels too and in the meantime you can join the IBBA group on LinkedIn.
