I’m delighted to announce the launch of Agtel’s animated fundraising videos for Mercy International Association, a not for profit organisation with 250,000 partners and volunteers worldwide.

We worked closely with Mercy to identify the stories from around the globe that would help communicate to potential donors exactly what Mercy is all about. Protecting the identity of the women involved, we used animation and voice to bring those stories to life for the audience.

The final video features the heart wrenching true stories of a Bolivian woman trafficked to Argentina to work in an illegal sweatshop and a mother from Papua New Guinea who came close to losing her life during childbirth.

The facts around human trafficking and women’s health are startling. To help communicate these in a memorable way, we created infographic sequences that would keep the audience engaged throughout and lead them to a call to action at the end of the film.

It was important to make sure the format of the videos would work for Mercy in lots of different settings – big events, face to face meetings and online. We created a number of different versions to make sure the video had impact in every viewing context.

“As part of a fundraising drive, we needed a video that would convey the spirit and purpose of our organisation and influence donors to contribute financially to our work. What I am most grateful for is the way Agtel have shaken up our thinking. We had not thought of including animation as a genre in the presentation but trusting their wisdom, we agreed to it and it made all the difference. We will not hesitate to use Agtel again and we can no doubt recommend them.” Mercy International Association
